About Us
The Papery (Bank Street) Ltd. opened in Ottawa, Canada in 1986. We are located in the beautiful neighbourhood known as The Glebe, which straddles Ottawa's main north/south road, Bank Street. We've seen a lot of changes in the area over the years, but our spot on the corner of Bank and Fifth has grown with us and it's here that we are rooted. We hope to return to this location once all repairs from the fire are complete. Happily we found a temporary home at 858 Bank Street, just a few steps away.
Our specialty is social stationery and all the other paper elements that make life creative and fun. Whenever you send a card, keep track of your friends in an address book, record your thoughts in a journal, invite your guests and then entertain them at your dinner table, The Papery has the products to lend beauty and style to your life.
We have interesting gifts and the papers and ribbons to wrap them. We have single sheets of paper in text weight, cover weight and envelopes to match for invitations or projects. We have origami, Japanese and many other papers to spark your creative mind for card-making and scrapbooking. The colours, the textures and the styles are absolutely delicious!

The Papery (Bank Street) Ltd. is loosely affiliated with The Papery on Fort Street in Victoria, British Columbia. The original Toronto locations are now closed. Our founders began The Papery in Toronto in the 1970's and we are the second generation.
